Credits and exam-dates for the Foreign language course
Foreign language exam (Polish) for the students of 1st year of study of the dentistry promgram at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze Medical University of Silesia, Katowice will be held on
26.06.2026 (Friday) at 10:00 in Zabrze, Rokitnica at the Department of Foreign Languages
- The exam will be held in class No. 17
The examination is conducted in accordance with the Rules for Conducting Test Examinations/Assessments at the Medical University of Silesia, Katowice (Appendix No. 1 to Rector's Ordinance No. 274/2025 as of 22 December 2025, constituting Appendix No. 1 to Rector's Ordinance No. 75/2016 of 21 June 2016, as amended).
The examination is conducted in the form of a written paper-based test and consists of 60 single-choice questions covering the Foreign language curriculum for the Dentistry program, as specified in the Course Description (Course Card).
The examination shall last 60 minutes. A member of the examination committee will verify the student's identity based on their student ID card. Students are requested to bring pens and arrive at the designated examination venue no later than 30 minutes before the start of the examination. The examination must be completed independently, without assistance from third parties or the use of electronic devices (in particular watches and mobile phones).
The following grading scale applies to the examination:
- 90–100% – Very good (5.0)
- 85–89% – Better than good (4.5)
- 80–84% – Good (4.0)
- 75–79% – Better than satisfactory (3.5)
- 65–74% – Satisfactory (3.0)
- 0–64% – Unsatisfactory (2.0)
A prerequisite for admission to the examination is obtaining a final course credit (pass). Until the end of the teaching period, teachers will hold consultation hours for students (an appointment should be arranged in advance by email with the instructor conducting your classes).
A student has the right to submit an objection to the examiner regarding the conduct of the examination or the content of an examination question within 24 hours of the completion of the examination.
The results of graded final assessments and examinations are announced within 5 working days from the date they are conducted through the University's information system.
A student has the right to review their marked assessment or examination paper, including the examination questions and the answer key, within 5 working days of the announcement of the assessment or examination results.
The scheduled dates for reviewing examination papers are as follows:
30.06.2026 (Tuesday) at 10:30 –11:30 at the Department of Foreign Languages
06.07.2026 (Monday) at 10.30 – 11:30 at the Department of Foreign Languages
The dates for the exam retakes are as follows:
- 09.2026 (Wednesday) at 10:00 –11:00 at the Department of Foreign Languages
- 09.2026 (Monday) at 10:00 –11:00 at the Department of Foreign Languages
